General Chemistry I and Lab

CHEM 113

An in-depth introduction to the principles of chemistry intended for students in the physical sciences, pre-medical, pre-engineering and related fields. Topics include atomic structure, periodicity, nomenclature, stoichiometry and bonding. Five lectures and one three-hour lab each week. Corequisite: Concurrent registration in MATH 130 or MATH 151.

Prerequisites: High school chemistry is strongly recommended.

CHEM113 is a 5 credit course.
