SPAN 310
This course examines significant and influential films produced in Spain and Latin America, studied in social, political, ethical, and cultural context. This exposure to landmark and contemporary Spanish-language films will challenge the student to examine the forces that have shaped modern Hispanic culture and identity. Students will engage with the coursework through readings, film screenings, cultural materials, class discussions, and written assignments. Conducted entirely in Spanish. Prerequisite: SPAN 305.
