Research and Writing in Exercise Science

PHED 475

This course provides students the opportunity to conduct undergraduate research and gain experience in academic writing. Students will demonstrate the importance of protecting human research participants. In addition, students will develop a research proposal to be submitted to the Bethany Lutheran College Institutional Review Board (IRB). A "mini-thesis" will be written, which will include a study introduction, literature review, research method, results, and conclusion section. Students will also present their "mini-thesis" project. Prerequisite: PHED 460 (taken before or concurrently) or consent of instructor.

PHED475 is a 3 credit course.
