Innovation and Intrapreneurship

Entrepreneurial thinking and skills are valuable not only for self-employment, but within corporations and other non-entrepreneurial organizations as well. Increasingly, companies are finding that employees with entrepreneurial mindsets add unique value such as creativity, innovation, critical thinking, and justifiable risk-taking. Intrapreneurship exists when organizations allow employees to act like an entrepreneur within the organization to pursue innovative products, services, and projects. This course is designed to develop student ability in the areas of innovation, creativity, product/service development, and critical thinking.

Prerequisites: BUSN 297, BUSN 310, and BUSN 330, or consent of instructor.

BUSN397 is a 3 credit course.
