Health Communication Programming, Planning, and Evaluation

COMM 351

This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of the process involved in the developing effecting health communication programs. Student will explore theoretical frameworks for health communication, learn to conduct needs assessments, define program objectives, select appropriate communication channels, and strategies, develop persuasive messages, and evaluate program outcomes. Emphasis will be placed on ethical considerations and culturally competent approaches to health care. Prerequisite: COMM 330 Introduction to Health Communication.
