Psychopharmacology

PSYC 380

Explores the interactions between humans and drugs, specifically drugs that affect the brain. Students explore the impact of drug use, both individually and societally. Topics include drug action on the nervous system, classes of recreational and therapeutic drugs, drug laws and regulations, and treatment and prevention approaches. This course is especially beneficial for students going into counseling, health, medical, sociological, or psychological fields. Recommended: PSYC 337.
