Numerical Analysis
MATH 380
This course introduces students to the design, analysis, and implementation of numerical algorithms designed to solve mathematical problems that arise in the real-world modeling of physical processes. Topics will include several categories of numerical algorithms such as solving systems of linear equations, root-finding, approximation, interpolation, numerical solutions to differential equations, numerical integration, and matrix methods.
Prerequisites: MATH 351 and COMS 103.
MATH380 is a 4 credit course.
