A survey of major developments in the hist of Christian through, doctrine, and practice of the early church, the Western church, and the post-Reformation church through today. The survey includes the Post-Apostolic and Ante-Nicene fathers, Augustine and the Council of Nica to the Council of Chalcedon, Western monasticism, the development of scholastic through from the Council of Chalcedon to the 15th Century, and Christian thought from the late 17th century to the present day.
